It is believed each month of the year has a unique gemstone assigned to it; Garnet, Amethyst, Aquamarine, Quartz, Emerald, Moonstone, Ruby, Peridot, Sapphire, Pink Opal, Blue Topaz and Turquoise. Depending on your resource your exact Birthstone may differ according to your zodiac sign as opposed to your birth month, as the dates cross over.

Birthstones have been around for centuries, experts believe they can be traced back to the Bible where Moses had a special garment made for Aaron, the High Priest of the Hebrews where twelve precious gemstones were used in the breastplate of the garment, representing the twelve tribes of Israel.

Each gemstone, for example, Turquoise, Quartz or Ruby has its own unique properties that influence our well-being such as happiness, healing or passion. It is believed that the wearer of the precious stone will benefit from the positive energies that the stone exudes.
